Satago's Credit Management Software for SMEs Achieves Accreditation from the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers

Independent audit report says:

  • "A really good, clear and concise product and a great addition to the bookkeepers toolkit."
  • "I really liked this product. It had great functionality, was easy to navigate and gave a very structured and easy to follow plan to chase debts."

London, October 10 2014

Satago, the online service dedicated to helping businesses get paid faster - today announced that their cloud-based accounts receivable management software has been independently audited and accredited by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB).

Satago's software takes the hassle out of credit management by connecting directly to companies' accounting software and automating the process of reminding and chasing customers for payment of invoices. Satago's software is the only credit management software to be accredited by the ICB.

The ICB's accreditation report can be read here: http://www.bookkeepers.org.uk/out/?lid=198.

Steven Renwick, Founder and CEO of Satago said:

We're immensely proud to have been accredited by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. Their auditing process was thorough and really showed that Satago is the best-in-class software to help small and medium sized businesses improve their credit control and get paid faster.
The process of chasing customers for payment is time-consuming and can be unpleasant for many businesses. By using Satago, businesses can instill the discipline required to chasing their customers for payment with proactive, regular communication.

Once a business has connected their accounting software to Satago and activated their Payment Reminders, Satago will automatically send their customers a series of escalating email reminders before and after an invoice is due - until payment is received.

Users have full control over which customers receive what level of payment chasing. Whilst Satago provides default templates for these email reminders, users are also free to customise their reminder emails on an account, or customer-specific level.

Garry Carter, CEO of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers added:

Our accreditation process gives bookkeepers the peace of mind that a product has been independently reviewed by their peers, and is recommended as a useful tool to help them manage their clients finances more effectively. Our reviewer found Satago to be a very worthwhile tool that should be recommended to ICB members.

Alex Smith, of Bookkeeping Leeds, who conducted the audit, said in her report:

I really liked this product. It had great functionality, was easy to navigate and gave a very structured and easy to follow plan to chase debts - something which I normally hate doing and currently don’t offer to clients as I never quite knew how to approach it. Armed with this tool I feel much more confident systematically dealing with late payers, and knowing that the system will stay up to date and record all my efforts in an easy to access format.
Well done Satago - a really good, clear and concise product and a great addition to the bookkeepers toolkit.
